Each 1995-P American Silver Eagle Proof Coin has been inspected by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), determining it to be in perfect PR-70 Deep Cameo condition. Of all the coins struck that year, only 1,335 were lucky enough to earn this certification, making them ideal for collectors who settle for nothing but the best specimens from each year. Interestingly, 1995 marked the 10th anniversary of production of the American Silver Eagle Coin, making this release even more important.
Each American Silver Eagle Proof Coin contains 1 troy ounce of the finest 0.999 pure silver. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint of the US Mint, the coins feature the mint mark ‘P’ denoting its origin.
The famous Walking Liberty design graces the obverse of this coin – portraying Lady Liberty striding toward the rising sun. Furthermore, this side announces the year of issue ‘1995,’ and also feature the inscriptions ‘LIBERTY’ and ‘IN GOD WE TRUST.’
On the reverses, the John Mercanti’s Heraldic Eagle makes an appearance, below 13 stars that commemorate the original colonies of the United States. The Bald Eagle clutches an olive branch in one claw and arrows in the other, capturing the United States’ ideals of peace without being scared to strike against enemies who threaten it. Moreover, this side also highlights the weight and purity of the silver in the coin, in addition to its face value ‘One Dollar.’
Since these coins are perfect PR-70 Deep Cameo specimens from the 10th release under this popular coin program, they will make valuable additions to coin collections.
