1990-S PCGS PR-70 American Silver Eagle Proof Coins For Sale


Struck at the San Francisco facility of the US Mint as attested by the ‘S’ mint mark on its reverse, this 1990-S American Silver Eagle Proof Coin has also been graded by PCGS. With grades of PR-70 Deep Cameo, these coins do not display any imperfections, even when magnified up to 5 times. The coin specifications, including the diameter, silver purity and weight, and the grades assigned are detailed on blue labels that are sealed with these coins inside a secure plastic slab.


The San Francisco Mint has been responsible for striking all proof coins under the American Silver Eagle program ever since its release in 1986. Although it was originally established to handle the substantial precious metals intake during the California Gold Rush, the Mint now assists in striking coinage for the United States of America.


Each of these American Silver Eagle Proof Coins is struck using 1 troy ounce of the purest 0.999 silver. Additionally, a $1 face value is assigned to these coins as the United States Government recognizes them as legal tender.


Obverses of these coins feature Adolph A. Weinman’s rendition of Lady Liberty – known as the Walking Liberty. It originally created for the Half-Dollar Silver Coin at the time and is acknowledged as one of the most beautiful designs to be imprinted on American coinage.
