A PCGS MS-62 Coin
PCGS, or Professional Coin Grading Service, is a reputable third-party organization that evaluates and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, a 1 to 70 grading system. This scale assesses coins based on their condition, with a grade of 1 indicating a heavily worn coin and a grade of 70 representing a coin in perfect, flawless condition. PCGS is widely trusted for its accurate grading and authentication of coins, making it a preferred choice among collectors and investors.
MS stands for Mint State, a coin issued as a business circulation one. Grade 62 suggests that the coin may present marks and hairlines in focal areas, noticeable scuff marks, and below-average planchet quality. But acceptable overall appearance.
