The $20 St. Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coin is often regarded as one of the most stunning American coins ever produced. 

The U.S. Mint struck these coins for general circulation from 1907 to 1933, serving as the official $20 coin. Coins minted at the San Francisco Mint bear the “S” mint mark. 

Each St. Gaudens Double Eagle contains .9675 Troy oz of gold and showcases a captivating design, which the American Eagle Program later revived for use on U.S. Gold Eagle coins.
