Celia Godkin created the Twin Maple Leaf design on the reverse. The two leaves of sugar maple are imprinted with the artist’s initials and the coin’s mintage. The outer rim is engraved with the coin’s purity, metal content, and weight in French and English, reading “9999 FINE GOLD 1/4 OZ OR PUR 9999.”
