NGC/PCGS MS-64 $10 Indian Gold Eagle Gold Coin - Random Year
The US Mint struck Indian Gold Eagle Coins continuously from 1907 to 1919 and then irregularly until 1933 through several of its branches, including Denver, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.
At that time, it was the official $10 currency in the US, weighing .48375 oz of actual gold content and featuring Augustus Saint-Gaudens’design.
Because of its gold content, the Indian Gold Eagle was one of the coins targeted for hoarding or melting during the economic crisis of the 1930s, which led to a considerable decrease in the number of coins available in the market.
Today, SD Bullion offers $10 Indian Gold Eagle Coins of varied mintages, certified as MS-64 samples and sealed in either NGC or PCGS slabs, randomly selected from our inventory.

The reverse features the majestic eagle standing on an arrow wrapped around an olive branch. The standard engravings on this side are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and the coin’s face value.
In some strikes, the reverse design may also feature the “IN GOD WE TRUST” mottos and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
An NGC/PCGS MS-64 coin
PCGS - Professional Coin Grading Service and NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company appraise and grade coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition.
MS stands for Mint State, referring to coins issued in the same format as a business circulation coin. 64 is the grade given to coins with average luster, noticeable, light scuff marks, or defects but with attractive overall quality.
