NGC/PCGS MS-63 $5 Indian Half Eagle Gold Coin - Random Year
The Indian Head Half Eagle, a $5 U.S. coin, was officially minted from 1908 to 1929.
Produced at the U.S. Mint facilities in Denver, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, its design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens honors American heritage with a depiction of a Native American Chief.
During the economic downturn of the 1930s, many of these coins were either hoarded or melted for their gold content, making them increasingly scarce.
SD Bullion offers $5 Indian Head Half Eagle gold coins of varied years, graded as MS-63 by either NGC or PCGS, of varied mintage, randomly selected from our inventory at the time of shipping.

An NGC/PCGS MS-63 coin
NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) and PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) are renowned third-party services that appraise and grade coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale. The scale ranks coins from 1 to 70.
For both services, MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin produced in a business sample format. Grade 63 indicates that the coin may present marks and minor visible hairlines.
