The Mexican Mint is the oldest in the Americas. With over 500 years of experience producing iconic pieces of silver and gold. The Mint’s most successful collection is the Gold Libertad Series, but the Gold Pesos can be a valuable asset in the Mint’s catalog.
The 5 pesos gold coin production started in 1905 along with other denominations: 2, 2.5, 10, 20, and 50. The Mexican Mint stopped minting the 5 pesos coins in 1955. The strikes produced after that got limited series. Most of them carry the last date of issuance: 1955.
