The Oklahoma 2 Goldback Note is the next denomination in the state’s beautifully crafted Goldback Series. Issued by the Aurum Mint and embedded with 1/500th Troy oz of 24-karat gold, this note celebrates the virtue of Benevolentia, or Benevolence, through deeply symbolic, regionally inspired artwork.

Launched in 2019 with Utah, the Goldback Series now spans Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, South Dakota, Florida, and Oklahoma—each note uniquely illustrating a virtue through allegorical feminine figures and rich cultural themes.

The Design

As with all Goldbacks, the Oklahoma 2 Goldback portrays a powerful female embodiment of a classical virtue. Here, we see Benevolentia, or Benevolence, illustrated as a maternal figure extending compassion and goodwill across generations and communities.

She stands gently among children in a natural setting, her posture exuding kindness and care. Surrounding the scene are symbolic representations of Oklahoma’s connection to nature and family—possibly including songbirds, native flora, or cultivated crops. The design reinforces the ideal that generosity and service to others are the pillars of a strong, moral society.

The virtue’s name, Benevolentia, is featured within a flowing banner, while the quote at the bottom may echo the importance of selfless love and stewardship. As always, the weight and purity—1/500th Troy oz of 24K Gold—are clearly inscribed on the lower edge, along with the note’s face value of “2” in the upper left.

The reverse remains blank aside from a faint mirrored impression of the detailed front.
