The Design

It is standard for all Goldback Notes designs to showcase a feminine figure symbolizing a particular virtue. 

The design features “Tenacitas,” which translates to “Tenacity.” Set in the Superstition Mountains, the Arizona 25 Goldback honors the legendary Lost Dutchman Mine. It depicts a courageous woman with a lantern and a treasure map, symbolizing the countless adventurers who have searched the canyons for over a century.

Details like a horse skull and the Peralta Stone reference key moments in the legend, celebrating the tenacity and hope that drive every seeker, with the guiding principle: “Lost things shape those who search.” 

The “25” denomination is inscribed near “ARIZONA GOLDBACKS,” with the gold weight and content noted at the bottom.

The note displays design elements on the obverse, leaving the reverse blank and mirroring only those on the obverse.
