Introduced in 1986 as the debut coin of the American Eagle Program, American Silver Eagles are renowned for their classic designs and national symbolism. 

This special edition coin, produced by the US Mint in collaboration with Nice Gang, a video game company behind the mobile RPG Eight Era, aims to inspire coin collecting within the gaming community by offering physical collectibles as in-game rewards. 

Minted in Philadelphia, this edition includes enhanced security features and a distinctive Eagle Privy mark on the obverse, positioned below the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST.”

The Design

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s “The Walking Liberty” design, which showcases Lady Liberty walking towards the sun with the American flag draped over her shoulder.

The feminine guise stretches one arm to welcome those seeking shelter in the New World as she carries oak and laurel branches. 

The obverse also displays the year of issuance, the word “LIBERTY,” the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” aside, and the bald eagle privy mark on the right. 

The reverse, designed by Emily Damstra, was included in the 2021 Silver Eagles. It depicts a Bald Eagle perched on a branch with its wings spread. 

Additional inscriptions encircle the whole image and read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” and “FINE SILVER,” added by the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” 

An NGC MS-69 “Early Releases” Coin

Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) is renowned worldwide for assessing and grading coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which scores coins from 1 to 70.

For NGC, “Early Releases” refer to coins purchased from the original mint within the first 30 days of their official release and submitted to its appraisal.

MS stands for Mint State. Mint State coins are shaped as business coins. Grade 69 is attributed to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.
