The Design

The reverse depicts a snake coiled in a bamboo trunk. It is accompanied by a Chinese character and its translation, “SNAKE,” the year of issuance, “2025,” and a discreet “P” mint mark on the left identifying the Perth Mint.

On the obverse, Charles III’s left profile bust, designed by Dan Thorne, is surrounded by the words “CHARLES III,” “AUSTRALIA” on top, “5 oz 9999 Ag”, and “8 DOLLARS” on the bottom rim, referring to the coin’s weight, fineness, metal content, and face value.
