The Design

The obverse stamps the National Seal of Niue, the coin’s face value, and the year of issuance. 

The reverse depicts the Sword of Truth design, consisting of a battle sword before a shield. 

As hiding part of a message from the Scriptures is a trademark of the series, the micro-engraved inscription is on the sword's hilt. And the Hebrew lettering “רוח קודש” on the shield means “Holy Spirit.” 

A framed belt encircles the coin’s weight, purity, and metal content description. The whole reverse image is surrounded by a circle of thorny vines on the border, resembling a crown of thorns.
