In addition to special thematic gold and silver coins, the Perth Mint enhances its Lunar Series with a Rotating Charm Coin.

This silver coin is part of the Year of the Snake Series, from the Perth Mint’s Lunar Series 2025 edition. It is made of  99.99% pure silver and weighs 1 Troy oz. Its proof finish, which incorporates an 18k gold-plated charm, gives it an ancient appearance.

It features, for the first time, the image of King Charles III on the obverse design of the series coins.

The 2025 1 oz Year of the Snake Rotating Charm Antique Silver Coin was struck in a limited mintage of 3,000 units, housed in a customized presentation case. It is available for purchase at SD Bullion.

The Design

The antique finish of this coin darkens the natural white bright from silver and gives it an ancient aspect. The darker tone contrasts with the 18k gold-plated coiled snake charm in the middle of the coin.

The obverse features King Charles III’s portrait on top, which consists of His Majesty’s left-profile bust designed by Jody Clark.

The inscriptions accompanying the effigy on the border read “1 oz 9999 Ag,” 1 DOLLAR,” “TUVALU,” and “KING CHARLES III.”

The reverse features a rotating gold-plated sterling silver bead designed to resemble a coiled snake. Encircling it are depictions of two snakes intertwined with stylized foliage. The design includes the Perth Mint’s “P” mint mark and the year 2025.
