The Design

Britannia and Liberty, the legendary feminine guises, share an alluring reverse design in which they are showcased in a right-profile closeup, with heads in opposing orientations.

Britannia, who wears a Corinthian helmet and carries a trident, embodies resilience and fortitude, mirroring Britain’s steadfast spirit. 

Liberty, depicted with a torch and free-flowing, star-adorned hair, is deeply rooted in the ideals of the Declaration of Independence, the unyielding pursuit of freedom—one of the United States’ founding principles.

The design also features “BRITANNIA AND LIBERTY” and “2025” “1 OZ 999.9 FINE GOLD” regarding the coin’s issuance, weight, fineness, and metal content.

The obverse displays King Charles III’s portrayal, the same as that used in Britannia coins, designed by Martin Jennings. 

The effigy is encircled by “CHARLES III,” the initials “D.G.REX.F.D,” which in Latin means “By the grace of God, King,” and “100 POUNDS,” for face value.
