Buy 2024-(P) Star Privy NGC & SD Bullion MintCertified™ FIRST30™ Silver Eagle Coin Tubes
The US Mint has debuted the first Silver Eagle privy coin ever produced with this Star Privy release. Privy coins are best described as coins with a small, unique identifying mark on an otherwise bulk produced bullion strike. Privy coins have been popular since the early 2010s, with other sovereign mints releasing a variety of privy coins each with their own unique collectible twist. This coin is the first ever US Mint Silver Eagle privy coin, featuring a Star Privy on the Obverse.
SD Bullion’s exclusive MintCertified™ First30™ Sealed Coin Tube program has been enhanced through a partnership with NGC. The new SD Bullion & NGC co-branded sealed tubes guarantee newly released coins were delivered in the original unopened mint tubes during the first 30 days of the coin’s release. These unopened tubes are then sealed with the SD Bullion & NGC MintCertified™ First30™ label providing another level of protection and security.
Coins in sealed MintCertified™ First30™ tubes are eligible for submission directly to NGC for certification and grading with either the First30™or Early Releases® designation. Opening or tampering with the MintCertified™ First30™ sealed tube will disqualify the coins from being eligible for either of these designations. As long as the tube is not tampered with, the designation does not expire!
The initial wave of coins from the US Mint with this Privy mark were primarily made for grading purposes. Those coins are now being distributed across the marketplace. The remainder of the 500,000 total mintage are expected to be released in late November of 2024. Customers buying raw (non-graded) coins now from other sellers are receiving coins that did not meet grading targets, otherwise known as grading "rejects". These coins are not grading rejects; they will come from fresh sealed boxes that arrive from the Philadelphia Mint in December.

The Design
The obverse reproduces Adolph A. Weinman’s “The Walking Liberty” design, which features Lady Liberty walking towards the sun folded in the American flag.
The feminine guise stretches one arm to welcome those seeking shelter in the New World and has oak and laurel branches on the other.
It also features the year of issuance, the word “LIBERTY,” the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” aside, and the five-pointed star privy mark on the right.
The reverse showcases the 35th-anniversary design of the Bald Eagle perched on a branch with its open wings.
The inscriptions on this side refer to the coin’s data through: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” “1 OZ,” and “FINE SILVER,” and the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
