The Design

This coin is uniquely shaped to reproduce the Sugar Plum Fairy on her feet or in a “plied pat” ballet position. 

The reverse is adorned in vibrant colors to showcase the fairy in her ballerina pink dress, with shades of purple and pink coloring her wings. 

The obverse design starts with the coin’s issuance on top, “2024”, followed by a single snowflake and the former Queen Elizabeth II’s effigy Ian Rank-Broadley designed. 

The inscriptions encircling Her Majesty’s bust read: “ELIZABETH II,” “SOLOMON ISLANDS,” “2 DOLLARS,” “1 OZ AG 999.9,” referring to the coin’s legal tender, face value, weight, metal content and fineness.

A unique four-digit serial number lies on the bottom.
