The Design

The obverse features Lady Justice with a more modern depiction. Traditionally, Lady Justice is blindfolded, representing impartiality, holds a scale to balance facts, and a sword as a symbol of authority to make law prevail.

The word “JUSTICE” arched over her, the Latin motto “FIDES ET JUSTITIA” and the year of issuance, “2024”, flanking her.

The reverse showcases the Coat of Arms of Gibraltar in focus, surrounded by “GIBRALTAR,” “2024,” “9999 FINE GOLD,” “10 POUNDS,” and “1 TROY OUNCE,” referring to legal tender, mintage, purity, metal content, face value, and weight, respectively.

Because it is a proof coin, the blank fields exhibit a mirror-like luster, contrasting the image engraved with a frozen effect.
