The Australian Lunar Series III is one of the Perth Mint’s most coveted coin series. Each year, it imprints the corresponding Astrological Sign of the Chinese Lunar Calendar. 

It consists of alluring gold and silver coins of varied sizes and finishes, including colored silver coins, like this 2024 1 oz Blue-Colored Dragon Silver Coin.

In addition to a unique dragon reverse design, these coins feature the “P125” mint mark, which refers to the Perth Mint's 125th anniversary.

The Design

The blue dragon has a unique depiction chasing a flaming pearl. The engravings supplementing the image correspond to the Chinese dragon character, DRAGON 2024,” and the “P125” mint mark.
