The Design

The reverse features an imposing battle sword before a shield. Usual to the Truth coins, there is a hidden message hidden in the design, which in this case, has been micro-engraved onto the sword's hilt. The hidden message is part of John 4:24 and reads: “AND IN TRUTH.” And, on the shield, the Hebrew lettering “רוח קודש” means “Holy Spirit.” The rest of this Scripture can be found engraved on the other releases in the 2023 Truth Series collection. 

This image is surrounded by a framed belt with weight, purity, and metal content described on the bottom. The inscriptions read: “ONE TROY OUNCE,” “9999 FINE GOLD.” A more extensive pattern of thorny vines is engraved on the outer rim, encircling the whole surface, and it resembles a crown of thorns. Through magnifying lenses, it is possible to see an interesting detail: the tip of the sword pierces a snake.

The obverse design showcases the national seal of Niue. As Niue is a self-governed country associated with New Zealand, this seal now stamps the coin’s obverse. Engravings regarding the coin’s face value and year of mintage lie on top and bottom, reading: “250 DOLLARS” and "2023."
Because this is a proof coin, the piece's surface received special treatment to exhibit a mirror-like luster. So, the images engraved with a frosted appearance highlight the brilliant blank background.
