The obverse has been altered from previous releases and is now the Public Seal of Niue, its backing nation. As Niue is a self-governed country associated with New Zealand, this seal now stamps the coin’s freshly minted obverse. Around this depiction, the inscriptions read: “TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS,” and "2023," the year of mintage.
The reverse displays the Aleph Tav Symbol את on the lion’s crown and reveals the lion’s identity as the Lion of Judah: The strength of the Leader is the Sign of the Covenant. Inscribed on the band of the crown is “GOD IS SPIRIT”. Behind the lion is a reflective regal floral-like pattern that accentuates the beauty of this design. At the very bottom of the obverse are the specifications of the coin of “ONE TROY OUNCE” and the exceptional purity of “.9999 FINE GOLD”.
