The Design

The 2022 obverse showcases two pandas sandboarding. The coin’s weight, metal content, and fineness are aside, and the denomination is in the lower right in Chinese.

It also contains the “40” privy mark, which superimposes a tiny panda face inside the numeral to identify the 40th anniversary of the Panda Series.

On the reverse side, the Temple of Heaven in Beijing has a central detailed depiction, encircled by the Chinese inscription corresponding to “The People’s Republic of China” and “2022”, for the year of mintage, on the bottom.

The silver medal is oval and features the Tiger design on one side. The other is inscribed with “Year of the Tiger Ag 999 1 oz.”
