Buy 2021 NGC First Day of Issue American Silver Eagles Online
Back in 2011, NGC launched its First Day of Issue program. Silver Coins with this label are assured to be coins that are purchased within one day of the first day that the mint makes a new coin issue available for sale. For collectors who want an additional way to distinguish Graded Silver Eagles in their set, First Releases are a perfect way to do so.
Before the US Mint was created, the primary trading options were foreign currency and bartering. In 1792, Congress passed the Currency Act , which established Philadelphia's US National Mint. Since then, the US Mint has expanded nationwide to several distinct branches. American Eagle Coins were initially minted at the Mint in San Francisco, but have also been minted at the Philadelphia and West Point Mints in the years since.
Once again, the obverse of the 2021 MS-70 Silver Eagle features the famous German-American artist Adolph Weinman's walking liberty design. Additionally, the word “Liberty” and the phrase “In God We Trust” are both shown here along with the year of issue.
The brand new design for the 2021 Silver Eagle depicts a single eagle coming in for a landing, carrying an oak branch as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “1 OZ. FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR.” AIP designer Emily Damstra created the design, which was sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso.
For any collector of Silver American Eagles, this NGC MS-70 First Day of Issue will be a perfect addition to help diversify their collection. The marking of the First Day of Issue further helps set the coin apart and shows that it was one of the earliest coins minted for 2021.
