NGC, which stands for Numismatic Guaranty Company, operates independently of sovereign mints. It evaluates and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70.

NGC considers “First Releases” the coins purchased and taken to its evaluation within 30 days of public release.

PF stands for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes, which exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. 70 is the highest grade and indicates a coin with no visible flaws.
