The Design

The front side of the coin depicts Lady Liberty moving forward with a torch and an olive branch, with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed above her, alongside the Capitol Building and the coin’s year of issue.

On the reverse side, there is a female eagle sheltering her hatchling under her wing while the male eagle stands guard over their nest. 

The inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," the mottos "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "IN GOD WE TRUST." They also provide details about the coin, such as its weight, metal content, and face value, which states "1/4 OZ. FINE GOLD—10 DOLLARS."
