2016 NGC MS-69 Early Releases 5 oz America The Beautiful Cumberland Gap Silver Coin
The US Mint released the America The Beautiful Quarters Program to be a tribute to America’s wealth regarding natural and historical sites.
This silver coin series debuted in 2010 and ran until 2021, delivering 56 quarter coins weighing 5 Troy oz of 99.9% fine silver.
The Cumberland Gap Silver Coin is the second strike of 2016 and the 32nd in the overall series.
Cumberland Gap National Historical Park was established as a national site in 1940. It was the first gateway to the West into the wilderness of Kentucky, where the buffalo, the Native American, the lone hunter, and the pioneer passed through. The natural beauty of the Appalachian mountain country, lush with vegetation, supports diverse animal life, including white-tailed deer, black bear, and wild turkey.
You can acquire, at SD Bullion, the 2016 5 oz America The Beautiful Cumberland Gap Silver Coin, purchased from the US Mint within the first 30 days of its official release, sealed and certified by NGC as MS-69 Early Releases coin.
