Featuring the design of the Morgan Silver Dollar, this 1 ounce silver round replica of the iconic Silver coin is manufactured by the SilverTowne Mint. The Morgan Dollar got its name from the creator of its design – George T. Morgan; it is an important piece of American history, which can be immortalized with this beautiful silver round.


Each of these silver rounds contains 1 troy ounce of fine 0.999 Silver (Ag). Although these coins mimic the designs of the original Morgan Silver Dollar coin, they are not considered as legal tender in the United States, hence, they do not have any face value.


On the obverse is an elegant representation of Lady Liberty is imprinted, showcasing George T. Morgan’s impressive artwork. Interestingly, he was assigned to design Lady Liberty for the Silver Dollar that was planned to be released in 1878, as his first project for the United States Mint.


The reverse of this silver round has the familiar image of the bald eagle with arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other – as depicted on all coins in the United States.


The Morgan Silver Dollar holds a unique place in United States history due to the fact that it was the first silver coin to be minted after the enactment of the coinage act of 1873 - barring all silver minting in the United States.
