A PCGS MS-70 First Day of Issue coin
PCGS - Professional Coin Grading Service is an internationally recognized service that works independently from sovereign mints. It appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70.
For PCGS, a “First Day of Issue” is a coin purchased from the US Mint on the very first day it was made publicly available.
The term MS or Mint State describes a coin with the same format as a business circulation one that remained uncirculated. 70 is the grade given to coins with no visible flaws.
