The family of Bald Eagles stamped on the reverse depicts a female eagle who cherishes her hatchling under her wing while the male perches on their nest, as designed by Miley Busiek. 

It describes weight, metal content, and face value as “1 OZ. FINE GOLD—50 DOLLARS.” Additional engravings read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”

NGC, or Numismatic Guaranty Company, is a renowned third-party grading service that appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70.
