2014-W 1 oz American Silver Eagle Burnished Coin with Box and COA
Since its first release in 1986, the American Silver Eagle has remained one of the most recognized and sought-after silver coins in the world. US Silver Eagles contain a full troy ounce of 99.9% fine silver and a striking patriotic design.
The U.S. Mint produces Silver Eagles in Bullion, Proof and Burnished editions. These coins feature finer detailing and exceptional finishes, adding to their desirability.
The Burnished coins issued at the West Point branch bear the “W” mint mark. The blanks used in their making underwent a special treatment process called burnishing, which cleans them from undesired oxides. This results in a matte finish with more vivid design details.
At SD Bullion, you can find 2014-W 1 oz Burnished American Silver Eagles housed in an original mint box and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

The information regarding denomination, weight, metal content, and purity are part of the design reading "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR."
Burnished Coins
A Burnished American Eagle Coin results from a “burnishing” process, hence the name. It essentially means that the blanks are cleaned from all oxides formed during the annealing and rimming process. This way, burnished coins get a satin look and a smooth surface but less reflective luster than the Proof version.
