2014 PCGS MS-69 DMPL 5 oz America The Beautiful Great Smoky Mountains Silver Coin

The America the Beautiful Quarter Program, running from 2010 to 2021, celebrated the United States' diverse natural beauty and cultural heritage.

This series featured 56 unique quarter-dollar coins, each highlighting iconic American landscapes, from breathtaking national parks to historic monuments and verdant forests.

The Great Smoky Mountains Silver Coin, released in 2014 as the 21st coin in the series, honors Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee, the most visited national park in the U.S.

Established in 1926, this park spans Tennessee and North Carolina, offering a rich tapestry of biodiversity. It is renowned for its lush, forested ridges, diverse plant and animal life, stunning ancient mountain views, and preserved Appalachian traditions, standing as a natural and cultural landmark.

At SD Bullion, you can find 2014 5 oz America The Beautiful Great Smoky Mountains Silver Coins, with a Deep mirror-proof-like appearance, sealed and certified by PCGS as MS-69 DMPL coins.

A PCGS MS-69 DMPL Coin

Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) works independently of sovereign mints. It evaluates and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which rates coins from 1 to 70 according to their condition.

MS stands for Mint State. Mint State coins are shaped as business coins. Grade 69 is attributed to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.

According to PCGS, DMPL stands for Deep Mirror Proof-Like and refers to coins struck for circulation but with unusual mirror-like fields and frosted design details that are very similar to Proof coins.
