2012 PCGS MS-69 DMPL 5 oz America The Beautiful Acadia Silver Coin - John Mercanti Label
From 2010 to 2021, the America The Beautiful Quarter Program by the US Mint introduced 56 exquisite silver coins.
Every year, the US Mint crafted five quarter-dollar coins weighing 5 Troy ounces, showcasing America's most significant natural and historical sites.
The Acadia Silver Coin, the third release of 2012 and the 13th overall, celebrates Acadia National Park. Established in 1916, Acadia was created when early 20th-century benefactors donated land along Maine's rugged coast. It is the first national park east of the Mississippi River and home to the highest mountain on the U.S. Atlantic Coast.
John M. Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver of the US Mint, created numerous designs for US circulating, commemorative, and bullion coins, including the original reverse of the Silver Eagles. In 2021, he was recognized as one of the most influential figures in numismatics.
Today, SD Bullion sells the 2012 5 oz America The Beautiful Acadia Silver Coin, graded as MS-69 DMPL coins and sealed in PCGS slabs with the exclusive John Mercanti Label.

A PCGS MS-69 DMPL Coin
Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) works independently of sovereign mints. It evaluates and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which rates coins from 1 to 70 according to their condition.
MS stands for Mint State. Mint State coins are shaped as business coins. Grade 69 is attributed to coins whose flaws are almost invisible.
According to PCGS, DMPL stands for Deep Mirror Proof-Like and refers to coins struck for circulation but with unusual mirror-like fields and frosted design details that are very similar to Proof coins.
