2011 NGC MS-68 DPL Early Releases 5 oz America the Beautiful Chickasaw Silver Coin
The America The Beautiful Quarter Program was introduced to the numismatic world in 2010. Between 2010 and 2021, the US Mint produced 56 silver coins, each weighing 5 troy ounces and made of 99.9% fine silver, with reverse designs showcasing America's most iconic sites.
The Chickasaw Silver Coin, the fifth release of 2011 and the tenth overall in the series honors the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Oklahoma.
Named after the Chickasaw Indian Nation, this area is renowned for its mineral springs and clear creeks and holds significant cultural importance for the Chickasaw tribe.

An NGC MS-68 DPL “Early Releases” Coin
NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company works independently from sovereign mints, attributing grades to coins based on the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranges from 1 to 70.
For NGC, “Early Releases” refer to coins purchased from the original mint within the first 30 days of their official release and taken to its appraisal.
MS means Mint State and describes a coin with a business circulation coin format. 68 is given to coins with a sharp strike, preserved original luster, few contact marks or flaws, and no visible hairlines or scuff marks.
DPL refers to a deep proof-like finish, describing coins whose fields are deeply mirrored and resembling proof coins but are actually bullion coins.
