Displaying an attractive brown label from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), these 2008-W American Silver Eagle Proof coins are encased in a secure plastic slab to keep them safe. Moreover, they bear the coveted PF-70 Ultra Cameo grade – guaranteeing the absence of any surface imperfection whatsoever, in addition to featuring high contrast designs that stand out against the mirror finish of the silver surface of the coin.


Each of these coins contains 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver, with a face value of $1 (USD). Launched in 1987, Parsippany, New Jersey, Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) is now the world’s largest third-party coin certification service by volume.


Every American Silver Eagle coin is minted by a particular facility of the US Mint each year. The West Point Mint, a branch of the United States Mint, is responsible for minting these 2008 American Silver Eagle Proof coins. The ‘W’ mint mark on the reverses of these coins showcase the source of these proof coins – i.e. the West Point Mint. John Mercanti’s beautiful Heraldic Eagle design is also featured on this side.

The brilliant portrayal of Lady Liberty, popularly called the “Walking Liberty,” graces the obverse faces of these coins. Adolph A. Weinman created this design in 1916, and it has remained one of the most-loved images ever to feature on American coinage.
