The design includes “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 OZ FINE SILVER,” and “ONE DOLLAR,” standing for face value, weight, metal content, and purity.

On the obverse, Lady Liberty, folded in the American flag, strides towards the sun with the oak and laurel branches in her arm. The word “LIBERTY” arches over the image, the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” is aside, and the year of issuance is at the bottom rim.

Because it is a proof coin, its surfaces exhibit a mirror-like luster, which contrasts with the design’s frosted image.
