The Design

The reverse features a detailed design of a Monkey standing on a tree branch. The monkey is depicted in a naturalistic pose, with its tail raised high and its front paw gently touching a smaller branch, conveying a sense of balance and agility. 

It is accompanied by the year of issue, “2004,” while the coin’s specifications are inscribed: “1 OZ 9999 GOLD.” The Chinese character for “monkey” is also present.
