Featuring proof coins from the very first American Silver Eagle release of the 2nd millennium, these 2000-P American Silver Eagle Proof coins bear the distinction of being graded a perfect PF-70 Ultra Cameo by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.


Indicating a coin in absolute perfect condition, PF-70 grades are only assigned to a coin after careful consideration by at least two NGC experts. Moreover, Ultra Cameo designations denote a unique frost finish on the designs on these proof coins, contrasting perfectly with the mirror-finish of the silver surface.


Due to the fact that NGC has provided reliable grades to over 35 million coins to date, its certifications and grades are accepted and valued without question, all over the world. NGC began operations in 1987, aiming to provide accurate information about various conditions of precious metals coins to buyers. Each of these 1998-P American Silver Eagle Proof coins is minted using 1 troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver. Moreover, they are assigned a $1 (USD) face value by the United States Government.


Adolph A. Weinman created the Walking Liberty design featured on the obverse of this coin in 1916. Although it was originally created for the Half-Dollar coin at the time, the design became so popular that it was honored by being made part of the American Silver Eagles’ design. Since the Philadelphia Mint stopped striking the American Silver Eagle Proof coins after this year, these 2000-P American Silver Eagle Proof coins are an integral part of any coin collection.
