1907 PCGS MS-66 $2.50 Liberty Quarter Eagle Gold Coin
The Liberty Quarter Eagle Coin was minted as the US's official $2.50 circulating coin from 1840 to 1907.
These coins contain 0.12094 troy ounces of gold and feature a remarkable design by Christian Gobrecht, which remains the longest-running unchanged design in the history of American gold coinage.
During the economic downturn of the 1930s, many $2.50 Liberty Half Eagles, like other pre-1933 gold coins, were confiscated, hoarded, and melted down as gold prices soared.
You can find 1907 $2.50 Liberty Quarter Eagle Gold Coins, sealed and certified by PCGS as an MS-66 sample, at SD Bullion.

The reverse displays the Heraldic Eagle with outstretched wings, bearing the national shield on its chest and holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons. The only inscriptions engraved refer to the nation’s name and the coin’s face value.
A PCGS MS-66 Coin
PCGS—Professional Coin Grading Service appraises and grades coins using the Sheldon Grading Scale, which ranks coins from 1 to 70.
MS stands for mint state. It refers to a coin struck in the same format as a business circulation coin that remained uncirculated. Grade 66 indicates the coin may have contact marks and signs of wear and tear, but it is above average in quality of strike and preserved original mint luster.
