The obverse showcases a cowboy riding a bucking bronco. The image is surrounded by two circles. The inner circle is a detailed rope. The second circle is a sequence of spikes around the inscription “1 TROY OZ - 9999 FINE GOLD.”

The background has striped latent patterns, and a small Buffalo privy mark is imprinted in the lower right.

The reverse displays the crowned lion, the Scottsdale Mint’s official logo, overlapping the same tripped latent patterns that cover the obverse. The company’s name arches over the logo, and “RIDE FOR THE BRAND” lies on the bottom rim. The round is housed in a serialized assay card.
