Famous throughout the world for creating some of the most exquisite designs on the purest precious metals, the Predator series of silver coins is another top-notch series from the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM). The first coin in this series was introduced in 2016, at the prestigious World Money Fair in Berlin, Germany.

Known for minting the finest silver bullion products, the Royal Canadian Mint has a century-long history of providing collectors and investors with pure precious metals products with excellent designs. The Mint is responsible for all of Canada’s circulation coinage. In fact, its enormous capacity allows it to strike coins for other countries as well.

Aimed at celebrating the different predators that are native to Canada, the Predator Silver Coin series quickly became popular with the launch of the Canadian Cougar Silver Coin in 2016. Boasting a limited mintage of just 1 million coins, the Cougar Coin has already become a sought after product among the investor and collector community.

The obverse of the first coin featured the mighty Cougar, a menacing predator that roams the wild in Canada. Furthermore, the second coin in the series – released in 2017, portrayed the wily Lynx that inhabits the forests of Canada.

Reverses of all these coins, just like other legal tender in Canada, will feature Susanna Blunt’s famous rendition of the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

With a total of four coins in the series, RCM is scheduled to churn out a new design annually, under the Predator Silver Coin series. Moreover, if the first couple of coins were an indication of the quality of products to follow, both collectors and investors are going to love the rest of the coins in this series as well.

Every coin is minted with the purest 0.9999 silver, and each of them weighs 1 troy ounce each. Moreover, with the official backing of the Canadian Government, they are assigned a face value of $5 (CAD).

Not only are these coins struck using pure silver, but they also feature beautiful imagery that makes them worth displaying proudly in collections. Collectors who love Canadian themed precious metals coins will definitely want to snatch up every annual release under this series.

Investors also seem to love these coins as all RCM products have traditionally proven to be worthy investment choices. The pure silver coins can expand your investment portfolios, while portraying images of wildlife native to Canada, at the same time.
