The Design
The obverse side of Silver Maple Leaf coins debuts the effigy of King Charles III in 2024, with an official portrait designed by Steven Rosati. Besides His Majesty’s name arching on top, the coin’s denomination and issuance are engraved and read “5 DOLLARS 2024.”
The reverse features Walter Ott’s Maple Leaf design, accompanied by “CANADA” engraved on top. The coin’s weight, metal content, and fineness are displayed in English and French on the border and read: “9999 FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR 9999.”
The unique privy mark that names the coin features an encircled polar bear on the lower left.
Anti-counterfeiting

The NGC - Numismatic Guaranty Company is a renowned third-party service that appraises and grades coins based on the Sheldon Grading Scale, independently of sovereign mints.
The scale ranks coins from 1 to 70 based on their condition,
MS stands for Mint State, referring to a coin made in the same format as a business circulation sample, which has never been in circulation. 69 refers to a coin whose original luster is preserved despite almost invisible minor contact marks or flaws.
