Gold Aurum Florida 10 Goldback Note (24K)
Goldback Notes are voluntary local currencies issued in some U.S. states. Utah introduced the first Goldback notes in 2019, followed by Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, South Dakota, and more recently, Florida.
Although these notes do not carry legal tender status in U.S. dollars, they are accepted by vendors at their discretion, based on the value assigned to each note.
This Florida Goldback is a 10-denominated note containing 1/100 Troy oz of 24k gold and an alluring design featuring “Innovatio,” the feminine figure for Innovation.

The Design
It is standard for all Golback Notes designs to showcase a feminine figure representing a cardinal virtue.
The Florida 10 Goldback personifies the virtue "Innovatio," in Latin, “Innovation.”
The design depicts a spirited 1920s flapper aboard the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC), honoring its transformative role in shaping Florida’s economy and landscape. FEC was founded by Henry Flagler, connecting Jacksonville to St. Augustine and, by 1912, extended to Key West, with the "Overseas Railroad" standing as a feat of engineering.
The image of Innovatio holding a ticket captures the excitement and freedom of the railway. Surrounding her are Florida's natural and cultural symbols, including dolphins, pelicans, and arches reflecting the Overseas Railroad's design.
Inscriptions referring to the note’s monetary denomination are on top, beside the words “FLORIDA GOLDBACK,” while weight and metal content are engraved at the bottom.
As these Notes are very thin, the opposite side has no design but a reflection of its face.
Goldback Notes
A Goldback is a regional currency accepted as payment in restricted locations within the United States.
Goldback notes hold no dollar legal tender. However, as they are made from .999 pure gold paint applied to a plastic film, they are valued as a bullion item.
Despite being shaped like regular currency notes, they weigh between 1/2000th and 1/10th oz and can vary in denomination from 1/2 to 100. Their weight is proportional to the amount of gold they contain.
The year of mintage may vary based on currently available supply.
