The seventh and final release in this new, exclusive 5 oz .999 fine Silver Reverse Proof series brings to life a re-imagined version of the magnificent sketches of 17th-century artist Jacques Callot, whose works vividly captured the complexities of human nature by pairing a sin, a scene and a demon. Each design interprets one of the Seven Deadly Sins — pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth — reminding us that these age-old struggles remain just as relevant today.

This ground breaking mini-series is best collected in a matching set of all seven coins. These sets will be housed in an incredible display, perfect for having on any desk or shelf open or closed. Of these 2,000 strikes, only 400 complete 7-piece matching numbered sets in numbered albums have been assembled and will be offered. Each set is housed in a custom album with each set’s individual serial number matching the serial number on each of the 7 pieces with low numbered sets #1 to #10 offered individually. This spectacular limited 7 part series stands as a mirror, inviting us to confront these realities rather than deny them.

The Design

On the reverse, an all-seeing eye is depicted above a pyramid, along with seven demons representing the seven deadly sins. This design is standard in the series.

It also contains the series name “THE AWAKENING,” and the banner “ANNUIT COEPTIS” as the American Seal, meaning “God has favored our undertakings.” 

Weight, metal content, and purity are informed through the inscription: “.999 SILVER 5 TROY OZ.” Lastly, the words “YOU CAN’T WAKE A PERSON WHO IS PRETENDING TO BE ASLEEP” surround the bottom rim.

The obverse portrays Envy as Medusa, the mythological Greek figure of a woman with venomous snakes for hair, whose gaze turned onlookers to stone, accompanied by a demon and a dog, which represents territorial bitterness, the guardian of what they cannot enjoy, simply to prevent anyone else from having it.

The only engraving on this side is “INVIDIA.”
