The Design

The obverse depicts Argor-Heraeus’ logo on top, followed by the bar’s information. The inscriptions on the obverse read: “Switzerland,” “5g”, “Fine Gold,” and “999.9”. The assayer’s mark and a unique serial number are on the bottom.

The reverse features another stamp of the mint on a central position and the Kinebar Technology. This technology embosses holographic elements onto the surface’s substrate, showcasing different textures and colors as you look at it from different angles..

The Mint started its activities as Argor SA in Chiasso, Switzerland. Over the years, the company faced essential changes, like its acquisition by the UBS - Union Bank of Switzerland and the joint venture with the German Heraeus Group.
