2026 NGC MS-70 FIRST30™ 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coin

The US Mint issues American Gold Eagles in a range of sizes and finishes, creating one of the most extensive selections of official U.S. gold coinage.

The Design

On the reverse, a left-profile close-up of a Bald Eagle with a hooked beak and deep gaze enhances the whole surface.

Accompanying inscriptions refer to the mottos “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST,” engraved beneath “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. " The inscriptions read “25 DOLLARS” for the denomination and “½ OZ FINE GOLD” for the weight and metal content.

NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) evaluates and grades coins independently of sovereign mints. It utilizes the Sheldon Scale, a grading system from 1 to 70.

MS stands for Mint State, indicating a coin crafted in the format of a business circulation coin. Since it has never been in circulation, the coin has no flaws, which grants it a 70 grade.
