The Design

The reverse presents a colorized depiction of sea turtles navigating a symbolic landscape inspired by their enduring connection to the ocean and their ancestral migratory paths. 

Jellyfish, a key part of their diet, appear throughout the design, alongside dotted circles representing the passing of generations and the continuity of life from the past to the present and into the future. 

Completing the scene is a trail of eggs nestled in the sand, symbolizing the turtles' instinctive return to their birthplace and the beginning of a new cycle of renewal. The design is finished with the 2026 year-date and The Perth Mint's "P" mintmark.
