In honor of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary on June 14, 2025, the U.S. Mint has issued a special edition of the American Silver Eagle featuring a unique privy mark. 

Established in 1775, the U.S. Army stands as the nation's oldest and largest military branch, committed to protecting the country and upholding domestic and international freedom. With a rich tradition of bravery, service, and resilience, the Army continues to be a cornerstone of American history and global defense.

These US Silver Eagles, in particular, are proof coins produced in the West Point branch. Therefore, they showcase the “W” mint mark and a stunning mirror-like luster. They were also purchased on the first day of their official release and submitted to a PCGS appraisal.

The Design

The obverse showcases Lady Liberty walking toward the sun's rays, enveloped in the American flag. She has oak and laurel branches in one arm, and as she extends the other, she represents peace and new beginnings. 

This side is inscribed with 'LIBERTY,' 'IN GOD WE TRUST,' the coin’s year of issue, and the commemorative privy mark.

The reverse depicts a contemporary image of a Bald Eagle in mid-flight, clutching an oak branch in its talons. Surrounding the design are the words 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,' 'ONE DOLLAR,' '1 OZ. FINE SILVER,' and the motto 'E PLURIBUS UNUM.'"

It also contains the “W” mint mark from the West Point branch.
