2025-W NGC PF-70 First Day of Issue 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coin - Reagan Label
The American Eagle Program, introduced by the US Mint, is widely regarded as one of its most successful coin initiatives. It was established through the Liberty Coin Act and the Gold Bullion Coin Act, both of which President Ronald Reagan signed into law in 1985.
Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, served from 1981 to 1989 and became one of the most beloved leaders in American history. A strong advocate for coin collecting and bullion investing, he declared the week of April 17 as "National Coin Week" through a Presidential Proclamation.
These US Silver Eagle coins are particularly proof versions from the 2025 strike minted at the West Point facility and feature the "W" mint mark.
Today, you can acquire 2025-W 1 oz American Silver Eagle Proof Coins at SD Bullion. They were purchased from the US Mint on day #1 of their official release, certified by NGC as PF-70 coins, and sealed with an NGC Ronald Reagan Facsimile Signature Label.

An NGC PF-70 “First Day of Issue” Coin
NGC, which stands for Numismatic Guaranty Company, operates independently of sovereign mints, evaluating and grading coins using the Sheldon Scale, whose grading system ranges from 1 to 70.
For NGC, a “First Day of Issue” coin is a sample purchased from its original mint on the first day of its official release and submitted to its appraisal.
According to the scale, PF stands for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes, which exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. 70 is the highest grade on the scale attributed to flawless coins.
