The first release of US Silver Eagles in 1986, introduced by the American Eagle Program, marked their entry into the numismatic world.
US Silver Eagles contain a full troy ounce of 99.9% silver, carry a one-dollar face value, and showcase striking patriotic designs embodying the nation’s core ideals, created by Adolph A. Weinman and Emily Damstra.

An NGC PF-70 “First Day of Issue” Coin
NGC, which stands for Numismatic Guaranty Company, operates independently of sovereign mints, evaluating and grading coins using the Sheldon Scale, whose grading system ranges from 1 to 70.
For NGC, a “First Day of Issue” coin is a sample purchased from its original mint on the first day of its official release and submitted to its appraisal.
According to the scale, PF stands for Proof Coin, indicating a coin produced for collection purposes, which exhibits mirror-like surfaces in contrast with frosted design elements. 70 is the highest grade on the scale attributed to flawless coins.
