The Design

The obverse displays the Coat of Arms of Niue and engraved information regarding the coin’s face value and the year of issuance.

The reverse portrays a frontal close-up of a Ram. The Hebrew lettering “ישוע” above the animal’s illustration means Yeshua (Jesus) and identifies it as the Lamb or Son of God, hence the coin’s moniker.

As a trademark, the series has a hidden message of the Scriptures, micro-engraved on the animal’s horn. The inscriptions regarding the coin's weight, metal content, and purity are included.

As it is a high-relief coin, the images are imprinted in 3-D, surpassing the coin’s borders, which allows a better appreciation of its most intricate details.
